(My first fully Digital Painting - no traditional media used here)

Based on a stylization that I had once done of the face of a Hindu monk I had seen.

He was wise, rock solid. Knowledgeable and at peace with himself. And he was searching for the truth. In his search there was a humility - an admission of man's insufficiency of knowledge. His stance to life suggested that knowing something intellectually was not necessarily to understand it.
Hence the search for a complete understanding of it all was necessary - without any authority of religion or philosophy or science.

This monk (that I based this sketch on) was such a person.

Note: This picture also qualifies to be my first attempt at painting (unless you count art class in primary school).
